I'm shopping for anther turning center for our shop. We have two older Fanuc 2-axis machines and I'm inclined to try a Mazak for the ease and speed of programming. I'm also wanting multi axis if I can find something decent under $75K. Question is: how much harder is programming on a SQT, with Y axis than a 2 axis machine? We're pretty good at figuring things out but I don't want to defeat the purpose of buying a machine for it's ease of programming if it that changes everything in terms of the conversational programming. Any additional tips or thoughts about this machine or alternatives will be much appreciated.
