Hey guys,
I have an opportunity to acquire a 1993 Mazak H400 with a M32 controller. I was told the memory is small and they drip feed it on a regular basis. I have not opened the cabinet to see the memory module part number. I have done some research and believe that it has a MC411 memory module. I have looked at pictures online and these modules have set of 4 of 12 chips sockets filled and then I notice one of them had all 12 sockets filled and it has a MC415 part number. Are these memory modules interchangeable? I am hoping that someone would know or have upgraded their control and can give advice
Something else that the current owner asked was interesting. He said something about 128k but can only use 72k and thinks the Mazatrol software is taking up the memory and asked if it was deleted it could free up the extra space. I have no idea and pose the same question to this forum. Can the Mazatrol part of the control be deleted to free up memory for EIA code?
Thanks guys
