My variaxis J500 seems to be banging around on G1 moves. These are just basic 2.5d moves, nothing fancy. Mostly just stepovers then straight cuts. Seems like the acceleration needs to be turned down a bit. I've tried the G61.1 accuracy mode with a K40, but it didn't seem to help much. Feedrates are between 50 and 100 ipm, so I might be feeding a little slowfor the G61.1 to be effective. Are there any other modes I should try? Any parameters to slow the acceleration on feed moves.
I don't have the machine anchored down yet because it's not in it's permanent home. It's got a small footprint for it's size, and sits on really tall pads so there is clearance for the chip conveyor and coolant tank. I hope that this isn't the problem.
