Smooth G on a 2 axis 250. Questions about control

Will be purchasing my 2nd mazak lathe in the next two months. The first, was a QTN 250my with the nexus II control. Coming from haas, the learning curve was steep, but worth the frustrations. So much so, that we will be getting our 2nd one soon. This is only going to be a 2 axis, no live tooling. I realize the QTS will be stupid simple. But, this machine will likely have the smooth G control,(IIRC) as Im being told the nexus and smart are history.

Can anyone give me some opinions on this control good and bad!! Searched and searched for reviews, only to get mazak themselves, or people referencing an Integrex.
