Explosion in electrical cabinet.

My QT6T has been running flawlessly for the past 8 years or so. A true workhorse. The best machinery purchase I have ever made. Today I experienced my first major problem. It powered up just like it does every other day. Meters on RPC output show 224-235V. About 15 seconds into the first part, I hear an explosion (very loud arc) from the electrical cabinet. Program stops with "025 Power supply unit malfunction". Hydraulic pump still running. There's a burnt smell in the cabinet, but no visible signs of arcing anywhere. I power it down and up again, and this time I get 2 rapid, loud pops as I am sending the turret home. Same error message. I power it up again, this time with phone in hand shooting video. I run around the back and video the inside of the cabinet. Nothing happens. I home the turret, no problem. Manually start the spindle, no problem. Run a program, no problem. About a minute into the program, I get 2 rapid loud pops, but the machine continues running as if it never happened. No error messages. It has been running fine for about 4 hours now. I'm excited that it's running right now, but worry what tomorrow morning will bring. Any idea what this might have been? some MOV's taking a shit? Moisture somewhere? Which power supply? Spindle? DC?
