Mazak H400 ATC retract hit spindle orientation guide

Hello all,

I'm totally new to cnc maintenance and repairing field, but it's my job. I'm learning how to troubleshoot and repairing CNC machine. I'm assigned to repair the Mazak ATC H400, M32 controller.

The problem is when ATC is retracted, its horse-shoe hit spindle orientation guide pin. ATC arm is kind of overtravel, which caused this problem. I used the mallet to tap the other end of ATC, then it is able to retract and go back to home (0 degree). However, ATC seems doesn't level when it is home. This problem is bad on 1 side only. The other side of ATC is good, which can be retract, insert tool into spindle easy.

I disassembled and replaced new hook rod, but it's still not fix problem.

Is there any parameter that I can change to make? Any mechanical to adjust or fix?

I will try to adjust one or two thread (back and forth) of the screw in the front of ATC to see if it helps.

Please see picture more detail.

Any advice, technical instructions are benefited to my knowledge.

Thank you very much.
