Rapid Override

The machine being used is a Mazak Nexus 10800-II
It uses Mazatrol Matrix

I ran the machine for 8 years, and I have often wondered if there was a way to override the rapid percentage from within the program. The machine has a knob for manually overriding the rapid, however, when the machine is first turned on, it starts off at 50% (even if the know is at 100). We have a large heavy part that has a less than desirable fixture. I have to run this part at 25% rapid so it doesn't slide away from the datums. The part takes about an hour to machine, so we try to get it done first thing in the morning. The other day, the guy who runs the machine now, forgot to turn the rapid back up to 100% after finishing the part. Unfortunately, the night shift operator didn't notice the machine was at 25% either, so we ended up running 15 hours of production at 25% rapid. I am trying to figure out if there is a way to change the rapid from 100% down to 25% at the beginning of a program, and then back up to 100% at the end. Any input you might have would be appreciated.
