What older HMC models/options can support modern HSM machining?

I am in the market for a couple used HMC’s for a new product line. The product at this point can’t justify new machines so I’m looking at the used market. On paper it seems like late 90’s to early 2000’s are a good value. My concern is can they keep up both in terms of code processing and chip evacuation of modern style machining techniques.
I have run an early 90’s H400 and it was definitely not up to the task, especially in the chip management side.

I would need things like tool and work probe capability, and at least 10k spindle. Part material will be 4000 steel, some Ti, and aluminum. All smaller parts. Looking at 400mm machines.

So, what models, and what options should I be searching for? Would say a HTC400 from ‘99 be up to the task? Thanks guys!!
