Hello, I recently purchased a Mazak QT20 lathe with a T Plus control. Everything worked fine (minus quill retract) when I inspected it prior to purchase. Machine was rigged professionally and transported to my shop but the previous owner did not install any kind of shipping brackets prior to disconnecting it from power. My fault for not confirming this prior to decommissioning.
Fast forward to today when I finally get power and air to the machine. The x axis homes fine but the z axis wont home. If I jog the machine in the Z+ direction I get a soft travel alarm about 1 BEFORE the limit switch. This leads me to believe that the z axis move a bit during transportation and therefore its not quite sure where it is.
Has anyone ran into this issue before? If so, how do I fix it? Ive seen some posts with similar issues in the X axis being able to temporarily adjust the X+ soft limit value. Once they home the machine then they simply set it back to the original value. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
