ID Full radius on face of part, face groove or face arc? T+ control

Need to prototype a couple of parts that have a .625" full radius cut on the face to accept a coil spring. The minor ID of the groove is 5" and major is 6.25" x 1.025" deep or so in 6061.

Which tool path path would you use face groove #1, face linear ( something like a start corner of R.010" the a .005 linear move in z then final corner of R.625" then reverse on the next line ) or face arc?

Ill be ordering some Iscar for radius inserts and a specific sized holder for this job and they advertise they can either plunge or turn, but I'm thinking it maybe best to follow the arc in maybe .125" depth of cuts to better help with chip evacuation.

How would you pros tackle this job?
