Vqc 20/40 coolant annoyance

Hey guys,

So amongst many other short comings of my vqc (it's so oooooollllddd! [emoji14] i want all the features of a new fancy machine!) Something that's been annoying the shit out of me lately is the coolant.

First problem is how long it takes to get it up to the nozzles and onto the tool. I'm having to program in 3 sec dwells after tool changes to allow it time to get going. Is there something i can do to help this? Check valves just before the nozzles?

Second problem is kind of 2 fold. I've recently gotten a fair few insert drills cheaply, and they're magic in the lathes, with a wicked blast of coolant clearing chips like crazy, but the mill has no TSC. I presume this can't be retrofitted, so the next thing is coolant pressure. An i able to just get a higher pressure coolant pump to give me a bit more penetration? Obviously i can't go crazy because the machine has an open top so too much and I'd start making a mess, but a bit more would be handy.

Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers kids.
Trav
