My 1990 QT15n has 2 coolant pumps. One that feeds the turret, it works fine. And a 2nd pump that apparently is just chip wash through a distributor pipe.
This second pump works fine, it thoroughly doused me in coolant, but it won't pump it into the enclosure. The distributor pipe was blocked solid with rusted chips (had the machine nearly a year before I realized what the hell it was) but the hose appears free. It's maybe -12, SS braided and looks to run directly between the pump and a 90deg bulkhead fitting on the sheet metal up near the headstock.
Before I fish this thing out of the machine, anyone have tips on where to locate blockages? Does it serve any purpose beyond washing chips off the covers and into the conveyor?
Thanks, Cole
