Post Crash alignment on QT15

Ok Guys, here's a juicy one, where I win the dunce award for the day.

After a distracted morning with annoying customers I needed to get these parts done!! I was (hastily) modifying the width on some bushings, by changing the .318" z value of the part off by .0015" make them slightly thicker, like 3.195".

BAM! (Chuck vs parting tool) Clang clang clang.....(sheet metal covers, like access for the drive belt tensioner, chip conveyor cover etc. falling off).

Turns out .318 and 3.195 are not the .0015" I was looking for and sent the part off blade into the top jaws of the collet pad and stopped the chuck cold. Parting with blade facing down, chuck turning counter clockwise.

Broke the timing belt, smashed the holder and but a big nasty in the top pads. Shit.

Got new timing belt.

Trued up spindle to turn cylinder again on test bar sticking out 7".

Went to true the turret again, but can't seem to adjust it down to where I need to to get the boring bar pockets on center again. I got the od pockets flat, but when I checked the id holders I'm about .025" high.

I've removed the turret, both curvic couplings and cleaned them, anti-siezed them, and "adjusted" them to their maximum with a brass drift while they were free to move. Re- assembled, then used big, bigger and biggest hammer to bring it down but to no avail.

WTF? What now? Where is the adjustment I am looking for?

Thanks in advance guys!

Cheers,

Grant
