We have 8 parts that need a oil groove 40mm pitch by 1mm deep for one full turn, the groove starts in a standard groove then does the helix down to another groove, then from the finish point of that groove reverses back to the start if you know what I mean!
If We grind a tool with a lead angle to do the groove toward the chuck then grind another tool with the reverse lead angle to cut from the chuck end to the start, if you program the two as threads where the second groove starts at the same point as the first groove finishes, will it actually start the second groove where the first terminates? as in the same point.
this is in a sqt200 by the way.
